Having family from both sides of the guineo-malian border, Doussou's music is influenced by the Wassulu as well as the Mandinka heritage. A very rare female bringing the kamale n'goni (8 strings harp-lute) as a forefront instrument, she presents her songs without any artifice - pure, joyous, beautiful, and from the heart. Recorded with an all acoustic Malian band in Bamako.
